Customizable Widger/Embed Code for Minting on Personal Websites

• Concept
  

  Since most artists maintain a personal website where they sell their products, it’d be great to be able to easily sell NFTs alongside other services and physical goods. This not only validates NFTs by placing them alongside traditional products, but also bridges the gap of NFT/crypto natives and traditional customers.
  

• Functionality

  1. Works just like any other embed code, with the ability to edit font size/color/style, background color, etc.

  2. Provides the buyer with the ability to purchase via debit/credit as well as crypto.

  3. Includes links for blockchain education, providing resources for those who are new to the ecosystem to learn best practices when it comes to safety, privacy, etc.

  4. Integrates with existing email list clients (Mailchimp, Constant Contacts, etc) or at least provides a mailing list opt-in option.

• Value

  1. By normalizing the existence of NFTs as a valid and accessible good as well as making the purchase easy, it removes a lot of the stigma around it.

  2. Creates an easy on-ramp for those who may be crypto/NFT curious by putting the ecosystem right in front of them on the page of an artist they already enjoy, without having to figure out/learn about marketplaces.

  3. Gives the artist the ability to consolidate their revenue streams into the place where they have control of how they want to present their work: their website.

  4. Removes friction for the buyer, enabling a more seamless purchasing experience much like buying anything else online, and allowing the artist to capitalize on customer impulses.

  5. Some of the best customers that artists have are those who have already purchased from them. By providing a way for the artist to capture their email and permission to add them to their mailing list, this gets the customer into their ecosystem and allows them to further the relationship with someone who loves their work.

• Engagement

  1. Includes sharing links for the buyer to quickly share their purchase to their chosen social media feed1.

  2. Mailing list integration/opt-in feature at the POS ensures the customer will be kept up to date on future news fromt he artist.

If we want this to go mainstream then there is a lot of work that needs to be done on removing the inherent friction. With things like Base and Shape now being an option, the speed, lowers tx costs, and ability to purchase using fiat removes a lot of the confusion and intimidation.
